Obituary
Lois Audrey Sturgeon-Gould was born on December 7, 1927 in Mangrum, Oklahoma. She recently celebrated her 82 birthday.
Lois married Newt Daniel Gould on July 27, 1945 in Gatesville, TX while he was in military training at Fort Hood. They were happily married for over 64 years.
The couple lived in various towns in Oklahoma and Texas before settling in Tahlequah, OK over 50 years ago to raise their family. Lois worked side by side with her husband Dan for 27 years in their family business, Tahlequah Printing Company.
In her early retirement, she and Dan traveled across America in their RV for over 10 years.
In the later years of her life she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was active and faithful member of the Tahlequah Church of Christ for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Dan and her three children Nick, William and Debi. Her grandchildren Dana Glover-Smith, Craig Glover, Taryn Ledford and Natalie Gould. Her great-grandchildren Maguire Smith, Ty Glover, Avery Ledford and Maclaine Smith along with numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Burnt Cabin Youth Camp at the South College Church of Christ, 410 S. College Tahlequah, Ok 74464. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com
