Clara Ovella Ford was born December 26, 1913 in Moody, Oklahoma to Thomas Marvin Pilcher and Bertha Jane (Herrin) Pilcher. She passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009 at Grace Living Center in Tahlequah at the age of 95 years.
Clara was born and raised in Moody, Oklahoma, she also attended school there.
She moved to California and resided there from 1935 to 1951. Clara returned to Tahlequah where she made her home and raised her family.
Clara was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she had been baptized.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Allen Combs and Leo Ford.
She is survived by her children; Imogene Combs Bradley and Bill of Tahlequah, OK.; Donald A. Combs and Beth of McMinville, OR.; Terry D. Combs and Della of Tahlequah, OK.; Helen Kay Ford Whitley of Tahlequah, OK., and Marilyn Hammons of Broken Arrow, OK.; sisters, Doris Beidler of Roseburg, OR.; Bernice Alderson of Chico, CA.; Cleo Combs of Tahlequah, OK.; Barbra Faye Denny of Placerville, CA; a brother, Keith Pilcher of Tahlequah, OK.; eleven grandsons, four granddaughters; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
