Margaret Vivian (Maher) Guinn
Margaret Vivian Guinn was born July 22, 1928, in Inola, OK to Clyde and Mattie (Duvall) Maher. She went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2010, at the age of 81 years, six months. Margaret attended school at Union Schools in the Tahlequah Area.
On October 10, 1946 she married Arthur Lee (Junior) Guinn who preceded her in death in 1995. Margaret worked at Griffin Food Company in Muskogee, OK for 39 years, taking one year off in 1971 to help her husband bale hay.
She joined the Church of God Seventh Day on September 2, 1946, to which she remained a faithful and active member until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her only brother, Sonny Maher. She is survived by her son Al Guinn and his wife Charlotte of Tahlequah; four grand children, five great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Taylor and husband Leo, and Lucille Hinds of Tahlequah, and Ruby Guinn of Ft. Gibson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services well be Tuesday January 26, 2010, at 2:30 PM in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chip Hinds Officiating. Burial will follow at Hendrix Cemetery. Serving as Pall bearers are Terry Guinn, David Taylor, Anthony Maher, Walter Maher, Larry Wofford, and James Greathouse. Honorary pallbearers are Leroy Thornton and Leo Taylor.
