Gordon Lee French Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gordon Lee French was born in Beardstown, IL, the son of Alberta Faye (Young) Weatherford and Ancel Paul French on April 10, 1958. He passed away in Muskogee, OK on December 18, 2020. He was born in Illinois and moved to Cherokee County in his early teen years where he spent the rest of his life. After moving to Tahlequah, he met and married Pamela Jo Corn in 1984 and they had two daughter’s Kristen French and Alecia French-Vincent. He had numerous jobs but the one he most enjoyed was truck driving. He liked driving to different places and meeting different people. He spent a lot of his time caring for his Aunt Blanche. To his family he was the best Papa in the world. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved being outdoors, fishing, playing ball, and just enjoying nature. When he was inside he liked to watch Westerns and listen to Old Rock-N-Roll. Credence Clearwater was his favorite band to listen to. After becoming ill his daughter Alecia helped care for him and his needs. Gordon is preceded in death by his parents Ancel Paul French and Alberta Faye (Young) Weatherford; one brother Michael Paul French and Alberta Faye (Young) Weatherford; one brother Michael Paul French and a close Aunt Ollie Toland. He is survived by three daughters, Kristen French, Alecia French-Vincent, and Sara Franklin; grandchildren, Addison French “the Bag Lady”, Landen French, Marcus Vincent, Cerena Vincent, Amy Jones. Eric Moreno, and Talia Moreno. Two great-granddaughters, two nieces, Jennifer French and Michelle French; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
