Ryan Edward Tinsley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ryan Edward Tinsley passed away from this life to the next, on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the age of 28. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK; September 8th, 1993. He came into this world surrounded by the people who loved him the most, his parents Ryan Clark Tinsley and Angela Dawn Johnston Tinsely of Tahlequah. Ryan attended Northeastern State University where he pledged to the Pikes. It was said of Ryan that he had a “little College and a lot of good times”. He worked as a Sub Station Apprentice, while training to become a Journeymen Substation Tech, with Ref Chem. As a kid, Ryan played soccer. Throughout his life he enjoyed woodworking and loved animals. He was an avid music fan and Disney connoisseur. His nieces and nephews were his pride and joy. You could often spot Ryan in a crowd in shorts (no matter the weather), mismatched shoes and a goofy hat. Ryan would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Things were never as important to him as the people he loved. He was smart, hilarious and fiercely protective. To all that knew him he was “Peter Pan”, magical, a little mischievous, and always leading a pack of kids. Ryan is survived by, his parents Ryan and Angela Tinsley, grandparents Mark and Georgie Drees, his siblings Josh and Melissa Poindexter, Kristen Tinsley and Nate Tinsley, his nieces and nephews, Joshua Ryan Poindexter, Baelynn Poindexter, Gabriel Poindexter and Avree Poindexter, his girlfriend Camry Jett and his dog Ryder, his aunts and uncles, Laura and David Johnston, Chrys and Marty Tinsley, along with a host of cousins and friends too numerous to count. He was preceded in death by his dog Macy, uncles Ty Johnston and David Johnston, aunt Barbra Johnston, grandpa Chuck Johnston and grandmother Judy Deal.
