Sarah Moore Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sarah (Spencer) Moore was born June 27, 1929 at her home in Greenleaf Oklahoma. The daughter of Charles and Lucy Ida(Parker) Spencer. She had 15 brothers and sisters, Willie Spencer, Floyd James Spencer, George David Spencer, John Thomas Spencer, Earl Jim Spencer, Arley Albert Spencer, Mary Emma Spencer, Jack Loyd Spencer, Lue Annie Carey, Dorothy Jane Spencer, Bertha Spencer, Charlie Lewis Spencer Jr, Dona Mae Pitts, Leona Thelma Collins, and June Lee Matthews. Sarah grew up in the Greenleaf area, attending school at Eureka and Qualls. The family grew up on a farm where attending the animals and picking cotton was a daily event. She later met Charley Moore and in the spring of 1945 the two were married in Tahlequah. Sarah went on to raise 7 kids, Charles Earl, Margie Lois, Barbara Jean, Linda Gail, Kathleen, Sharon Kay, and Tommy Dwayne. Sarah loved her children and grandchildren dearly, it was known to never threaten or harm her children. Sarah enjoyed a pinch of snuff and rocking in her chair while listening to bluegrass records, reading her bible, or watching a western on tv. She loved to have a conversation with anyone who walked through the door, no one was a stranger. Sarah passed from this life on Monday May 2nd, 2022 at St. John’s hospital in Tulsa OKlahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Willy, Floyd, George, John, Earl, Arlie, Mary, Jack, Lou, Dorothy, Bertha, Charlie, Dona, and Thelma. One son Charles Earl, One daughter Kathleen. Her memory is cherished by her sister June Matthews of Sand Springs, children Margie Wyers of Lubbock Tx, Barbara Adair of Tahlequah, Linda Trammel and husband Bill of Moody OK, Sharon McClure & husband Gary of Tahlequah OK, Tommy Moore & wife Tomasine of Welling OK, 17 grandkids, and a multitude of great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
